Bus Companies Suspend Travel Services Following Government Movements Cessation

Following the President’s move on immediate cessation of movements in and out of Nairobi Metropolitan for 21 days effective Monday 6th of April 2020, bus companies have in the country have suspended some or all of their travel services as most of their operation routes pass through Nairobi Metropolitan.

The President also imposed a cessation of movement in Mombasa, Kilifi and Kwale counties effective Wednesday 8th of April 2020 which affect travel to Lamu, Malindi and Ukunda by bus companies.

Modern Coast bus company through their social media channels announced suspension of all their travel services in the country.

In line with President Kenyatta’s move to impose an immediate cessation of movement in and out the Nairobi Metropolitan area for 21 days… we unfortunately wish to inform our esteemed passengers that we have temporarily suspended all our travel services as Modern Coast.

The company further advised that all passengers that had already booked have an option of rescheduling their travel with a voucher provided valid for up to 90 days from today.

Further, clients who had booked various buses prior to travel date are advised to follow up on communication updates from their respective travel service providers or visit the bus booking offices for further instructions. For those who had booked online please visit the nearest booking office for further assistance.
