One of Modern Coast buses, KCF 614U was involved in a grisly accident yesterday at around 6.30PM as it plunged into River Nithi in Tharaka Nithi.
The bus is reported to have experienced some brake failure according to sources before it lost control and plunged into River Nithi.
The bus was heading to Mombasa from Meru before the incident which left a confirmed fatality of 33 people.
So far NTSA has issued a press release suspending Modern Coast bus operations in a number of routes following yesterday’s accident.
