It was a sign of relief to bus companies owners on Saturday as President Kenyatta announced that the the partial lockdown imposed to 5 counties to be lifted.
The counties namely Nairobi, Machakos, Nakuru, Kajiado and Kiambu counties were on lockdown after a rise in number of Corona virus cases.
Nairobi and Nakuru are a hub for the transport sector as most buses use Nairobi and Nakuru counties roads to get to different routes operated by the bus companies hence having them under lockdown crippled bus travel.
…with regard to the Zoned Area comprising of the counties of Nairobi, Machakos, Kiambu, Kajiado and Nakuru, it is directed that the cessation of movement into and out of the Zoned area be and is hereby lifted..
