Mombasa Raha bus with plates KCH 141Z heading to Lamu from Mombasa was today attacked by suspected Al Shabaab militants at Nyangoro, Witu at around 1230 hours.
Three passengers are feared dead while several others injured during the incident.
Lamu County Commissioner Mr. Irungu Macharia Confirmed the incident.
I have heard of the incident and I am heading to the scene. I am also liaising with with officers on the ground. Details on injuries, casualties or the bus company are yet to be established but I’ll give details soonest.

The injured were rushed to Garsen and Witu Dispensaries. The area had previously witnessed militias attacks.
